My Timeline Of Travel


 

 9 Years and counting

Since I took my first road trip in 2013, I developed a passion for the open road, wild places and photography.

I didn’t really start living the nomad life until 2017 when I went to Yellowstone to work concessions for a season.

Below is an account of the dates of my travels. Starting with my western USA road trips, and finishing up where I currently am located.

2013

 

September

 

My first road trip: Yellowstone National Park


2014

 

May

 

Road trip to the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, and Southern Colorado.


2015

 

October

 

Road trip through Colorado: Rocky Mountain National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Dinosaur.

2016

 

April

 

Utah road trip: Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Zion, Bryce Canyon.

 
 

June

 

Road trip to Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Badlands National Park.

2017

April-November

My first time leaving Ohio to live elsewhere. I took a seasonal job in Yellowstone National Park.

November

 

The first time I left the country. I took a trip to visit Taiwan for 10 days. I saw a lot of the country and learned a lot of the culture.


2018

 

February-April

 

I returned to Taiwan where I spent a few months before starting my working holiday visa in Australia. I was able to experience the Lunar New Year and see first hand how it was celebrated.

 
 

April

 

Landed in Darwin Australia and spent 2 weeks looking for work. Eventually found resort work in the Outback.

 
 

April-October

 

I worked at Kings Canyon Resort in the Red Centre of Australia as a restaurant supervisor.

October-November

I left Kings Canyon and set our on a several week road trip around The Western side of Australia.

November-December

 

I settled down for a few months in Albany, Western Australia. I worked at a few local bars to save money to travel on.


2019

 

January-February

 

I took a 4 week trip to Asia. Malaysia, Thailand, India, Nepal. I went to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Kolkata, Darjeeling, Katmandu, and Pokhara.

 
 

February-April

 

I returned from Asia and went back to Albany to work as a bartender and server.

 

April

From Albany to Alice. I took a 2 week road trip back to the Red Centre. I camped and slept in my car most of the time. I explored the Esperance Region of Western AUS.

April-June

 

I got my previous job back and worked at Kings Canyon for a few months.

 
 

June-December

I moved to Far North Queensland (Cairns/Kewarra Beach) and found work in Palm Cove as a restaurant supervisor.

2020

January-February

I remained in Far North Queensland, working and exploring the area.

February-June

 

I was transferred for work to Magnetic Island. When the pandemic hit I was unemployed but was still able to remain on the island. The island was shut down for about a month where no one could enter or leave unless they were essential workers.

 
 
 

June-August

 

I decided to leave Magnetic Island and set out on a 6 week road trip. I would head north back to Cairns and through the Atherton Tablelands. Then south to Sydney where I would fly back to the States and end my travels in Australia.

2021

April-October

I returned to Yellowstone National Park to work a seasonal job as a Food and Beverage Manager.

October-November

I took a 4 week road trip across the USA. I traveled from the PNW down California to Death Valley, Valley of Fire, then Arizona and finally back to Ohio.

December

 

I returned to Yellowstone to work the winter season.


2022

 

January-March

 

I continued working in Yellowstone for the winter season.

 
 

MARCH

 

I spent 3 weeks in Utah between jobs in Yellowstone and Alaska.

 
 

MARCH-APRIL

 

I drove from Utah to Alaska via the Alaska Highway.

 
 

APRIL-

 

I spent the summer season working in Denali State Park in Alaska.
