About: Josh Prostejovsky
I have been living the nomad life and traveling for over 4 years. I have been all over the US as well as 7 other countries. I enjoy photography and I have had my camera with me on all my travels in order to take images of the places I have been and the things I have seen.
Check out my Youtube Channel where you can join me on location as I photograph epic landscapes and wildlife in Australia and the USA.

I grew up in a small rural town in northeast Ohio. Growing up, the west of the USA was always alluring to me. Its tall mountains, baron deserts and abundant wildlife was something I longed to see. When I was 19 I finally decided to take a 9 day solo road trip out west to spend a few days in Yellowstone National Park. I bought a point and shoot camera (Nikon CoolPix) packed up my Honda Civic and hit the road. I didn’t have much photography experience prior to my road trip so I just set the camera on auto and took hundreds of pictures along the way. After this trip I fell in love with photography.
I bought a DSLR within the next year and continued to take one to two trips to the American West for the next several years. Finally in 2017 I decided to work a summer season in concessions in Yellowstone. I had an amazing experience filled with photographic opportunities for both landscapes and wildlife. This fueled my desire to travel and take images even more.

In Yellowstone I learned of a working holiday visa system in Australia. I did a bunch of research then decided to go give it a try. In the spring of 2018 I went to Taiwan for 6 weeks, then set off to Australia where I would spend two and a half years. I bought a car and ended up driving over 30,000 miles around the vast country working in hospitality to fund my travels. I was able to visit some amazing places. From living in the dry baron Red Centre, to the lush tropical rainforest of Far North Queensland I was able to capture many images to add to my portfolio.
